FRENCH WINE TASTING
at the OGLETHORPE HALL, GOODALMING
Les Amities Francaises Godalming invited members to a TUTORED wine tasting of FRENCH WINES led by Brian John (our Treasurer). He studied for, and was awarded, the Diploma of the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in 2010. He first became acquainted, and fell in love with, French wine around 1968.

Eighteen members and friends attended the Fête des Rois dinner at Côte Restaurant in Guildford.
The management of Côte offered us Cremant de Bourgogne for apéritif. We enjoyed a starter and main course chosen from Côte's menu, and as tradition dictates, the desert was the Galette du Roi, made by our Présidente, Carol Liddle.
A wonderful way to start the New Year!

Dr. Karen Serres very kindly organised an escorted visit to the exhibition, giving a commentary in French, at the Courtauld Gallery in April 2026.
